PRÉAMBULE

PDRN skin booster (Salmon DNA) is an aesthetic medicine treatment that uses polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRN)—highly purified DNA fragments typically derived from the sperm or gonads of salmon or trout. These DNA fragments stimulate the skin’s natural repair mechanisms by:
  • Stimulating collagen production
  • Improving skin elasticity and firmness
  • Providing deep hydration
  • Softening fine lines
  • Accelerating recovery after laser treatments, chemical peels, or microneedling
  • Enhancing overall skin quality
PDRN injections are most commonly used on the face, particularly in delicate areas such as the under-eye region, as well as on the neck, décolletage, and hands.

INDICATIONS

The primary goal of PDRN treatment is to improve skin quality rather than provide volume enhancement. It is recommended for:
  • Dull or dehydrated skin
  • Fine lines
  • Loss of firmness
  • Recovery following aesthetic procedures

PROCEDURE

The treatment consists of multiple microinjections performed with a fine needle into the superficial dermis.

TREATMENT DURATION

The injection session lasts approximately 30 minutes.

RECOVERY

Recovery is generally straightforward and may include: Mild redness, Swelling, Small bruises, Tenderness lasting 24 to 72 hours. DOWNTIME
Patients can usually resume their normal social and professional activities within a few hours after treatment.

RESULTS

Results become visible within a few weeks. A course of 2 to 3 treatment sessions, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart, is recommended, followed by a maintenance session every 6 to 12 months, depending on the patient’s skin condition and treatment goals. The effects typically last 6 to 12 months.
